Cat Lounge Attendant
The Cat Lounge Attendant is in charge of the cat Lounge area. You are the ring leader between our Cat Lounge Guests and our Human Guests.
Responsibilities:
- Greeting customers and familiarizing them with the rules of the cat lounge
- Providing daily care for cats, including feeding, watering, grooming and socialization
- Conduct behavior assessments and provide enrichment activities for the cats
- Collaborate with other staff members and volunteers to ensure the well-being of all animals in our care
- Interact with potential adopters and provide information about the cats available for adoption
Skills/Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with cats or in an animal care environment is preferred
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Great communication skills
- Proactive - Can spot negative cat or human interactions and can work to defuse them
- Detail-oriented - You notice the little things and act on them
- Ability to cross-train on the café side a plus
Front Desk / Barista
The Front Desk / Barista is the first face our Guests see. It is important to greet every guest in a timely manner and provide a welcoming experience as they wait to enter the cat lounge.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they enter
- Check in customers for cat lounge reservations
- Take reservations for walk-in customers
- Take, ring up, and serve coffee/food orders
- Answer general questions about the cat cafe
Skills/Qualifications:
- Must have previous experience in a customer service or a food service role. Previous coffee shop experience is a plus to aid in preparing various specialty coffee drinks such as cappuccinos, lattes, espressos, etc.
- Ability to multi-task and the ability to work in a fast pace environment
- Above average customer service skills - Should be able to project a welcoming and friendly vibe
- Great communication skills - Since you'll be the first person customers see, you'll guide many guests through their first visit to a cat café.
- Technologically savvy - Should be comfortable learning to use multiple apps, including point-of-sale and reservations
